Viva Carnival 2020
Goa, India
The Viva Carnival is unique to Goa and is celebrated as a precursor to the abstinence of Lent. Characterized by floats, performances, food and drinks, the carnival was first started by the Portuguese during the 18th centuary when they ruled the territory. The tradition of celebration has continued since then. The Goa carnival 2020 was held during February for 4 days between 22nd and 25th across various cities in Goa.
