Hampi never fails to amaze me with its beauty. Each time I visit this beautiful City of ruins, it offers me a visual treat enough to make me feel like coming back quite often. My last visit to this locale was no different. This time around, I was in Hampi at the golden hour of sunset and happened to have a bird eye view of the boulder strewn surroundings from the famous Matunga hills. Though I could not capture the enchanting beauty of the sun kissed city with my DSLR camera ( Read, I forgot to take the battery of my new DSLR camera!!), I managed to click some decent pics with my Nexus 5 phone.

Watch Out for my next post for some awesome shots of the Sunset seen from the Matunga hills.
Nice….i will visit Hampi soon…….is it a one-day visit?
Hi Vinay.. One day is definitely not possible to see and enjoy the beauty of Hampi. I suggest at least a 3 day visit. Also, try to have a day for the surroundings of Anegundi which is located just across the Tungabhadra river from Hampi. You can read my previous blog about the places to visit in and around Anegundi.
Awesome pics reflecting the beauty as well as the majesty of Hampi…. each n every man made structure competes with natures sculpture in this royal kingdom… the ruins deeply touch our hearts… the colours of sunset seems to be symbolical to express the anger as well as simpathy on the historical destruction of the Vijayanagar kingdom….
So well said….
