Who can go to Thailand and not go to its paradisiacal beaches? We’re no different! So, after Bangkok and Chiang Mai, we went to Phuket. And nothing better than an excellent hotel like Pacific Club Resort to assure the success of your stay. It is located on Karon Beach’s most prime location. Perched on a hilltop with easy access to local attractions and only 10 minutes’ walk from the beach and 15 minutes to Karon Village and a 20min drive away from the iconic Patong Beach.
Why Did We Pick This Hotel
- Pacific Club Resort is a luxurious and affordable option in the heart of Phuket. It is in a secluded part of Karon, while still being relatively close to restaurants and nightlife of Kata and Karon. It offers peace and privacy on the famed beach

- We can rent a scooter at this hotel and they also offer taxi services at fair prices
- The spa, food&beverages, and even the laundry rates are very reasonable though the quality of service provided is great
- Though it is not very close to the nightlife of Patong and the busy Phuket, the resort is a striking distance to some of the beautiful places to feel the pulse of the calm beach and oceanside park
Our First Impression
We walked into that delightful front entrance to be greeted by the friendly staff (and a very warm welcome with fresh fruit juice). We knew we had made the right decision. In every way, the premises are immaculately clean and the blend of Mexican and Thai architecture is exquisite. All the staff was genuinely more than happy to help. We felt that we were part of the “family”.
Location Highlights
As you can see from the map, Karon Beach is located on the southwestern coast of Phuket, a bit more than 1hr away from the Phuket International Airport when traffic is good. So that needs to be factored in when you’re planning your trip.
While Karon takes more of a trip from the airport, it does put you closer to attractions like Promthep cape and Phuket old town and the Big Buddha, so it’s not a bad base if you plan to explore Phuket’s must-see spots in the Central/South area. The are 7 Eleven(Supermarket chain) and ATM and money exchangers within 10 minutes so you can stock up on treats if you so desire.
Resort Features
2 outdoor pools, a full-service spa, and a restaurant are available at this resort. Free WiFi in public areas, free self-parking, and a free area shuttle are also provided. Guests can relax in the spa bath and enjoy massages and body treatments at the spa. The hotel also provides a well-equipped gym. The outdoor swimming pool on the top floor with lush green hills in the background offers a wider view of Karon Beach to the front.
Room Amenities
All 40 individually decorated rooms feature free WiFi, comfortable beds, air-conditioner, spacious wardrobes, direct dial phone, coffee & tea service,safety lockers and an en-suite bathroom with toiletries . The Studio Suites, one of which we stayed in, are larger rooms with mini kitchens, a refrigerator / freezer, a microwave.
The nice balcony outside with greens around provides a great feel and is enough for 2 people to sit comfortably. The clothes rack in the balcony was great and so handy to hang our swimmers and towels.
Spa Services:
The onsite spa has massage/treatment rooms. Services include facials, body wraps, body scrubs, and body treatments. The spa is equipped with a spa tub. Many varieties of treatments and therapies are provided here, including aromatherapy.

Restaurant / Bar
The Dining Room / Restaurant offers an international menu for the convenience of the guests. The delectable cuisines can be served anywhere in the resort.
The buffet breakfast was fresh, had more than enough varieties to go round. You get to order omelets, huevos rancheros, eggs benedict and others at the live food counter, then pick from a buffet spread of fried rice, meat, french toast, baked beans, hot dogs, milk with corn flakes, and fresh fruits and juices.
The Meal – Since the time we’ve left this place, we have been missing their delicious fillet of white fish burgers & chicken on a grilled bun! While there may be many other places to eat in and around town, we found ourselves eating at the hotel way more than expected. The menu has plenty of quality varieties of flavorsome food priced at a very reasonable rate compared to many other places around.
The yummy dishes we tried during our stay
1.Fried Fish Sandwich on a grilled bun – Fillet of white fish, Lettuce, Tomato & Tartar sauce
2.Chicken avocado bacon – Chicken, Avocado & bacon on a grilled bun, finished caesar dressing
3.Salmon Florentine – on a bed of spinach, fish & cream sauce , served with yellow rice & sautéed veggies
4. Chicken cordon Bleu served with mashed potatoes & veggies.
The rooftop swimming POOL was very special. The views were magical with lush mountains on one side and then the view of the ocean on the other. We were above every other hotel in the area so we were looking down at everything around us.
Resort transportation
Pacific Club offers transport facility at rates far more economical than those being charged by local tuk-tuk drivers. We advise using the hotel transport. They provide free shuttle service to the beach on schedule timings.
Conclusion:
A luxury resort situated on the hillside that overlooks the beautiful Andaman Sea, observing the horizon and creating an unforgettable moment to perpetuate our well-being. Pacific Club Resort Phuket is an excellent option for every taste, a solo traveler, a honeymoon, a rest refuge, a vacation with friends or simply a family vacation.
We can recommend this to anyone who wants a star hotel serving lovely food and beverages at great deals. This is an ideal place to prove that your experience would be luxurious and beautiful without being expensive.

The rooftop swimming is definitely a very unique feature, especially for a resort in Phuket. I did enjoy staying at Karon Beach, it was one of my more favourite parts of the island. Great to hear you enjoyed your stay at this hotel.

Oh wow, that looks fantastic. I have wonderful memories of our stay in Phuket and we were also a bit out of the main hub and happy for it. It can be quite noisy. Thailand is a great holiday choice.

This resort looks amazing! I like how the room provides a locker for your valuables. My one fear is getting my passport stolen. The fried fish sandwich at the restaurant and bar looks amazing too. I would love to eat the chicken cordon bleu as well. What cocktails would you recommend?
The lockers are very safe Gina 🙂 You need not worry. You must try all the food varieties we have listed and there are many other tempting flavors. Also look for the chef’s special menu. Unfortunately, we could not try many other varieties 🙂 We did not try any cocktails , but the fresh fruit juices which we had were amazing:)

Well, I didn’t visit a Thai beach until my third trip to Thailand. I’m not a beach person, but the water at Koh Chang was like bath water. They say that about Hawaii, but in Thailand it was actually true!
Seems like a nice choice for a luxury holiday in Phuket. Would surely add it in my comparison list for next time.
The resort looks wonderful and I love the views from the pool, towards the mountains. The room looks very spacious and I really like the gold color of the bathroom. It’s great that they also offer taxi services at affordable prices. That’s always hard to find.

You know, I never thought to visit any areas of Phuket other than Patong haha…but after reading this it looks like this resort and the Karon area in general would be a pleasant respite for a vacation.
I honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of Phuket because the resort we stayed at wasn’t the nicest (found it on groupon getaways) But your accommodation looks like something I would’ve enjoyed!

Truly awesome! The rooftop swimming pool was the best! We’re heading to Thailand but not in Phuket though. We will be there for only like 3 days so we’ll skip Phuket by then 🙁
